I could talk about how Dave is a top level judge working most UFC matches (perhaps all) or his black belt. But that is not the reason I come every day that I can. I go because it’s a lot of fun! I feel that my safety and well being is a top priority with mindfulness payed to encouraging me not to push through injury. On top of this it’s an incredibly welcoming environment with brilliant members. There are no ego issues and great vibes. I often struggle to get to classes on time and not once have I been made to feel bad about this, Dave, Jordan and Ben are always just happy I’ve arrived and super excited to share their passion. Dave and the team are amazing coaches. I felt very welcomed when I first started and thoroughly enjoy every visit. The coach's knowledge of jiu jitsu is second to none, they have helped me develop massively. The members are all really friendly, helpful and just a great group to train with. Really warm and inviting atmosphere with a great bunch of students ranging from the inexperienced to much higher belts. Dave, the owner is a really considerate, friendly and knowledgeable guy and is eager to share his wealth of BJJ and grappling experience with others. The guy is an absolute BJJ geek! In addition to Dave there are also some fabulous coaches who train and teach at Roll Models Leek. The gym is situated in the town centre so for anyone resident in Leek it is easily walkable to. Such a friendly and welcoming vibe; accessible to all levels of ability, age and fitness. Coaching is top notch, can't recommend highly enough. The gym also runs classes for children. It's one of the few places that understands that FUN should be the main ingredient for developing a legitimate, long lasting interest in something like BJJ. My 6 year old son loves the sessions, it's quickly become his favourite pastime. The gym is an absolute asset to Leek, a hidden gem with accessible parking right outside. My 9 year old goes to Roll Models BJJ Gym Leek and after bumping around different self defence classes for her, I can say this really is fantastic! Everything is fun, explained and demonstrated properly, the coach knows exactly who to pair up together within the warm up time so there's no nerves or feeling like a newbie, every child feels like they've always been there within minutes and coach is hands on and will join in or pair up when they need that extra bit of support. it's a great class where all levels are catered for together with no pressure,and as parents watching we get lots of laughs (especially in crab football 🤣) I honestly can't recommend roll models enough, it needs 10 stars!Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brilliant gym, such a welcoming atmosphere and sense of community from day one. I've learned so much in just a few months and the progress I've made is a huge testament to their coaching. Everyone is super supportive and encouraging, overall a great place to improve your BJJ as well as both physical and mental health. All sessions are really enjoyable and I always leave excited to go to the next one.
